This research aims to 1) develop an electronic disbursement document system that operates over the university’s internal internet network 2) assess the effectiveness, and 3) assess user satisfaction of this electronic system. The electronic disbursement document system is based on a web application. It is developed by VB.Net and in conjunction with Microsoft SQL Server. The target group for this research consists of staff from various departments within Maejo University who are users of the system, with a purposive sampling method selecting 57 participants.
The development results indicate that the system significantly enhances operational efficiency, is user-friendly, and simplifies processes. It reduces the steps and time required for document handling, allowing for convenient tracking and status verification. Users can review and approve documents through the internet. Furthermore, the system is linked to the budgeting system, providing immediate expenditure updates and real-time budget balance checks. It also integrates with the e-Passbook financial system, allowing for document retrieval for payment requests without redundant data entry, thereby reducing resource usage within the organization. The evaluation results show that the overall effectiveness of the electronic expenditure document system is rated highly (
= 4.13, S.D. = 0.59), and user satisfaction is also rated highly (
= 4.16, S.D. = 0.62).
