With the increasing risk that local wisdom in basketry handicrafts may gradually vanish due to the lack of successors and limited access to learning resources, this research aims to develop digital learning media that support the preservation and transmission of traditional basketry knowledge. The objectives of this study were to 1) develop a digital learning media for promoting basketry handicrafts and 2) evaluate user satisfaction with this developed media and 3) to compare learning achievements before and after learning through the developed media. The study sample consisted of five purposively selected experts for media effectiveness evaluation and thirty randomly selected users for satisfaction assessment. The research instruments included the developed digital learning media, an effectiveness evaluation form, and a satisfaction questionnaire. Statistical analyses employed mean and standard deviation. Data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The efficiency of the developed media was analyzed by using E1/E2 (80/80) Criteria. Differences of knowledge scores were compared by using t-test.
The findings reveal that: 1) the developed media integrates Augmented Reality (AR) technology to present basketry products in interactive 3D models that users can rotate, together with QR code based posters linking to instructional videos and web based learning content; 2) the media achieved an expert-evaluated effectiveness mean score of 4.54, indicating the highest level of appropriateness for deployment. Furthermore, the overall user satisfaction with the media was high, with a mean score of 4.44. These results demonstrate that the developed digital learning media is highly suitable for practical application in promoting learning and knowledge dissemination; and 3) the effectiveness of the digital learning media showed an efficiency value (E1/E2) of 82.17/84.83. The study of the learning achievement of students using the media revealed that post-test scores were significantly higher than pre-test scores at the .01 level of significance.
