This research aimed to develop a web-based system to support the preparation of personnel budget requests at Maejo University. The system was designed to apply information technology to improve the university’s budgeting process, particularly in screening and managing personnel budget data across the institution. By providing more convenient, faster, and more complete access to information, the system helps reduce the time required for routine work and allows personnel budget data to be used more effectively for analysis and decision-making in line with current circumstances.
The system was developed using ASP.NET, Visual Basic, and Microsoft SQL Server to support data storage, processing, and information management. The analysis and design process followed the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure that the system could respond effectively to users’ needs.
The results of the system development showed that the web application helped improve the management of personnel budget data at Maejo University by making the process more systematic, enhancing data completeness, and enabling up-to-date monitoring of personnel budget information. As a result, the system can be used effectively by both university staff and the organization as a whole.
The user satisfaction assessment was conducted with a sample of 324 respondents, consisting of 30 academic staff members and 294 support staff members. The results showed that overall user satisfaction with the system was at a high level, with a mean score of 3.99 and a standard deviation of 0.55. These findings indicate that the developed system can effectively support the management of planning and budgeting information within the university. It also improves access to information, reduces duplication in data management, and provides better support for decision-making by administrators and relevant units.
